Tochigi Leather is highly regarded in Japan and abroad as a specialist tannery practicing full vegetable tanning in pit tanks, a method handed down over generations. Tanned slowly with tannins extracted from the bark of South American mimosa, this pure vegetable-tanned leather is distinguished by its natural texture and robustness. With continued use, its color deepens and its character grows richer. Its wide gusset holds ten ballpoint pens along with other stationery.
