This is genuine natural vegetable-tanned leather, slowly tanned over time with tannins extracted from the bark of South American mimosa trees. The tanning process, which makes masterful use of artisan techniques, results in a wild yet highly refined leather. The hides are immersed in vats filled with tannin solution for about one to one and a half months to create the base material.
A gentle touch that envelops the back
The back pad uses cowhide with high moisture absorption and release, the kind also used for sofas. Beyond its gentle feel, the fine wrinkles and pores that appear as individual character are a hallmark of natural materials. Pigments that resist fading are used.
Gentle carrying comfort that reduces the burden. Features M Cushion. Memory-foam shock-absorbing material is built into the cushioning of the back pad and the underside of the shoulder straps. Because the memory foam distributes the load and fits the shape of the body, swaying is reduced and fatigue is lessened. It is also more durable than conventional sponge, resisting compression over time.
