At the heart of our work is leather from Saitama “Sainokuni” black pigs, sourced through our own dedicated supply chain. Each hide is carefully sorted one by one. Compared with ordinary pigskin, black pig leather has a denser fiber structure, offering exceptional strength and a smooth feel. Because this rare leather seldom reaches the market, we preserve the natural marks of each animal’s life, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that gain depth and character the more they are used.

We carefully select sturdy hides and craft basic, highly durable products that can be used across three generations of a family. Tanned with tannin, the leather deepens in color and gains luster over time—one of the pleasures of a naturally aging material. By making things that last, we also hope to keep waste to a minimum. Each piece is carefully finished by hand by craftspeople at our own workshop in Kawaguchi, Saitama.
