THE FACE OFF, created by Obelisk, based in Taito, Tokyo, is a FACE apparel brand that dresses up the face. The face is the last frontier left to adorn. By hiding it, you draw attention; by hiding it, you meet a self you have never seen. The brand was born from this paradox. By deliberately bringing a sense of strangeness into daily life, it serves as a device for enjoying the distance between the everyday and the extraordinary, and questions anew the meaning of dressing and the value of adornment.
