With its head office and factory in Toyooka, Hyogo Prefecture, Cony Co., Ltd. has built up solid skills and experience as an OEM manufacturer of bags and small leather goods since its founding in 1975. At Ongaeshi Kobo REBACK, artisans who are themselves parents of elementary school children, seeing things from the same perspective as our customers, remake randoseru (Japanese school backpacks) filled with 6 years of memories into bags and small leather goods. Preserving the well-worn character of each randoseru, we refashion those memories into forms you can use every day and deliver them as special gifts that convey gratitude to your family.

We remake each randoseru into a bag while making the most of its memorable features, such as the flap and pockets. Distinctive designs and parts are also retained wherever possible, as we cherish the unique character of each piece. Because the 6-year journey spent with each family becomes the bag's own personality, no two finished pieces are ever alike. Rather than a mere keepsake, each randoseru is reborn as a bag or small leather item for everyday use, letting you carry your memories into the days ahead.

Artisans who have honed their skills on the factory floor since our founding in 1975 handle every step, from disassembly to tailoring, on a dedicated production line. What sets us apart is that our artisans, who are raising elementary school children themselves, approach each process with care from the same perspective as our customers. By assessing the materials and condition of each randoseru, which differ every time, and building up the stitching with care, we achieve a finish that you can keep using with confidence every day, even with materials that have seen many years of use.

We embrace the small scratches and color changes that come from 6 years spent with the bag not as flaws, but as character. We do not perform repairs or cleaning to restore scratches or fading to their original condition; instead, we preserve the well-worn texture as much as possible. By retaining the look of the randoseru that shared those 6 years, we create pieces that prompt you to look back on everyday memories each time you pick up the bag or small leather item.
