KUTSUNE
Taito, TokyoSince 1974
The pair you always end up wearing In the hope of hearing "Ara, ii KUTSUNE!" ("Oh, what lovely shoes!")
Tokyo Kutsuken Co., Ltd., which has its workshop in Taito-ku, Tokyo, has made a great many shoes, mainly through OEM production, since its founding in 1974. Drawing on the skills and know-how cultivated there, it launched its original brand, KUTSUNE, in 2017. We want people to say, "Ara, ii KUTSUNE!" With that wish in mind, the brand pursues shoemaking that combines the refined design of leather shoes with light, comfortable wear.

Pop Designs That Bring Happiness
Commitment 1
Neat and polished in appearance, our designs go with both casual outfits and slightly dressier occasions. Another appeal is the freedom to choose to suit your mood and outfit, from classic single-color dyes to playful patterns like polka dots. Because they are never overdesigned, they blend naturally into everyday outfits, making them the pair you always end up reaching for.

Comfort and a Beautiful Silhouette Made for Japanese Women
Commitment 2
Focusing on the high instep and wide feet common among Japanese people, we measured the feet of many women to create our lasts. One of these lasts allows extra room in the width while being designed to look sleek from above and from the side. The result is a silhouette that combines a slender, graceful look with ease of wear.

Reliable Even in the Rain: A Serious Sole Rarely Seen in Women's Shoes
Commitment 3
We use a sole with excellent grip and durability, the same kind used on serious mountaineering boots. It resists slipping even on manhole covers and the white lines of crosswalks on rainy days, giving you a reassuring feel as you walk. A dependable everyday pair that can handle a little rain.
