Founded in 1964 in Toyooka, Hyogo Prefecture, a city renowned as a bag-making region, Yuri Co., Ltd. has long been engaged in making bags for the Japanese and overseas markets. Inheriting that expertise and know-how, ARTPHERE Co., Ltd. was established in 2006, opened Atelier nuu as a directly managed store in 2008, and in 2015 set out in earnest as a women's bag brand. With the spirit of craftsmanship nurtured in Toyooka at heart, we deliver bags and leather goods that quietly accompany women's lifestyles, using materials and designs you will never tire of.

Eco-conscious craftsmanship that considers where every material comes from

In choosing leather, we take the environment into account, for example by using leather with LWG certification (awarded to tanneries that meet international environmental standards). Some items also feature leather dyed with wine pomace, materials made from recycled fishing nets no longer in use, and materials that make use of extracts from onion skins. Offcuts from cutting and sewing are not discarded but given new life in other products. Through these ongoing efforts, we aim to gradually shift the materials we use toward those with a lower environmental impact.
A reliable repair service so you can keep using your piece with confidence for years
Commitment 3
Products certified as Toyooka Bags or Toyooka Wallets come with a warranty, and our own factory in Toyooka repairs nearly 5,000 bags a year. For products without a warranty, or for damage and defects not covered by it, paid repairs can also be arranged on request. While the service available depends on the parts used and the condition of the product, we also accept inquiries in store and online. We believe that having the option of repair is what helps you enjoy a cherished piece for many years to come.
