Founded in 1964 in Toyooka, Hyogo Prefecture, a historic center of bag making, Yuri Co., Ltd. has been involved in bag making for markets in Japan and abroad. ARTPHERE, its own brand launched in 2006 as the culmination of that work, has earned high acclaim, including becoming the first in Japan's bag industry to win Germany's iF Design Award in 2009. Now operated by Artphere Co., Ltd., the brand name combines "Art" and "Atmosphere" and carries the wish to make life richer through bags. Carrying on the spirit of craftsmanship, honing its skills and building up know-how, the brand creates bags full of individual character.
An original form that opens wide and carries beautifully

"Opening and closing the zipper is a hassle." "It's hard to close when one hand is full." Does that sound familiar? Our series using the original Arch System (an opening-and-closing structure built on an arched frame) opens wide at a single touch while combining a slim exterior with ample capacity. Even with one hand, you can see everything inside at a glance and never scramble to find what you need. This structure is used not only in our Dulles bags but also in some of our backpacks and shoulder bags, and the refined silhouette sits naturally in business settings.

Do you ever worry about the strain on your shoulders and back during daily commutes and business trips? To ease that strain, some of our backpacks use shoulder straps with a built-in shape-memory material that changes shape with the wearer's body heat. They fit gently along the contours of the shoulder and distribute the load, a design that reduces the burden on the shoulders and back. They also incorporate features to limit the stuffiness that tends to build up when a bag is carried for long periods, with every carrying situation in mind.
Warranty and repair support for years of use

A favorite bag is something you want to treasure and keep using for as long as possible. Products certified as Toyooka Kaban (bags) or Toyooka Saifu (wallets) come with a warranty card, and we recommend registering it once your bag arrives. For items without a warranty card, or our own products you have been using for many years, we also accept paid repair enquiries, supporting you in keeping your treasured bag in use for years to come. Enquiries are welcome in store or by email.
